Sophie Hegarty

Sophie has a genuine desire to help people navigate challenging circumstances with confidence and clarity. She is a passionate advocate for her clients and ensures they feel heard and supported at every stage of the legal process. 

Sophie is a Practice Leader and Senior Associate with Stephen Browne’s Perth office. She takes a calm and considered approach in her commitment to supporting and advocating for her clients while achieving strong compensation outcomes for them in matters involving: 

• Motor vehicle accident law 

• Workers’ compensation law 

• Public liability law 

• Criminal justice compensation 

Sophie understands that the legal claim process is about more than compensation. It’s about clear communication and ensuring that her clients feel heard, understood and empowered in an often-overwhelming process Prior to joining Stephen Browne in Perth, Sophie completed a Bachelor of Arts in Law (Criminal Justice) in Ireland and migrated to Western Australia. She completed Graduate Diplomas in Legal Practice at Murdoch University and the University of Western Australia and at The College of Law. Sophie’s legal career started as a paralegal at our related practice, Bradley Bayly Legal, prior to her 2018 admission as a solicitor.
